Mounesan named Iran’s new tourism chief

TEHRAN – President Hassan Rouhani in a decree on Sunday appointed Ali-Asghar Mounesan as the new director of the Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Organization.
Mounesan, 47, holds a PhD in civil engineering from Tehran’s Sharif University of Technology. He has served as the managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization.
He replaced Zahra Ahmadipour who held the post since November 2016.
